Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in a production environment. The Maintenance Technician will work with a wide range of mechanical and electrical systems, supporting both existing operations and the integration of new equipment in a growing facility. The position requires a strong mechanical background and hands-on experience with industrial machinery, with the opportunity to contribute to the reliability and efficiency of automated processes.Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, including washers, dryers, conveyors, lifts, overhead rail systems, ironers, feeders, folders, compressors, and pumps. • Service and support reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm and positive displacement pumps, chemical injection pumps, and their associated motors. • Visually inspect and test machinery and process equipment to identify wear, damage, or potential failure. • Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems to ensure safe and reliable operation. • Perform alignments and repair and maintain gearboxes and bearings to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Repair or replace defective parts and perform checks and adjustments on sensors, measuring devices, and related components. • Clean, lubricate, and replace shafts, bearings, gears, and mechanical seals as part of routine and preventive maintenance. • Perform basic motor and instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs using appropriate tools and diagnostic techniques. • Use diagnostic methods and schematic interpretation to troubleshoot equipment, detect malfunctions, and identify pending failures. • Support preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned outages. • Assist with maintenance and repair of conveyor and overhead rail systems, including mechanical and basic electrical components. • Contribute to the installation and maintenance of new facility equipment and automated conveyor systems. • Perform welding tasks as needed for equipment repair or modification. • Work collaboratively with other team members across day and night shifts to ensure continuous operation and effective handoffs. Essential Skills

• Minimum of over 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role. • Strong mechanical background with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining industrial machinery and equipment. • Experience working with boilers, pulleys, roller track systems, or similar mechanical components. • Proficiency in mechanical repair, including gearboxes, bearings, shafts, gears, and mechanical seals. • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on production equipment. • Experience with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. • Experience with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair. • Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting and electrical maintenance on industrial equipment. • Skill in reading and working from schematics and technical documentation. • Experience with PLC troubleshooting at a basic level to support equipment diagnostics. • Ability to troubleshoot motors and related instrumentation. • Hands-on experience with conveyors and overhead rail systems in an industrial setting. • Capability to use diagnostic techniques to detect equipment malfunctions and pending failures. • Basic welding skills to support equipment repair and fabrication. • Familiarity with three-phase electrical systems in an industrial environment. • Ability to work safely indoors in a warm production environment and around steam and mechanical systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No HVAC or EPA certifications required, though familiarity with HVAC systems is beneficial. • Experience with plumbing and mechanical systems in an industrial or facility setting is a strong plus. • Experience with automation and conveyor systems, including installation and maintenance, is highly desirable. • Comfort working with service and maintenance tools and equipment in a production facility. • Ability to interpret schematics from common industrial control platforms. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues. • Willingness to work alongside both day and night shift personnel to support continuous operations. • Adaptability to support the build-out and commissioning of a new facility and new equipment. You will work around industrial washers, dryers, conveyors, lifts, overhead rail systems, ironers, feeders, folders, compressors, pumps, and associated motors, as well as hydraulic, pneumatic, and steam systems. The environment is hands-on and equipment-focused, with day and night shifts working together to support continuous operations. Appropriate work attire for an industrial setting is expected, including clothing suitable for mechanical work, exposure to heat, and use of personal protective equipment as required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westwego, LA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
