About this role

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionUtilize work orders and blueprints to ensure assemblies are completed to precise specifications. Complete tasks within estimated time frames while collaborating with a team to meet production schedules. Communicate any machine complications or challenges to lead or supervisor. Participate in 5S cleaning and organizing methods, adhering to all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards. Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders for assembly. • Assemble products using a variety of hand and power tools. • Complete work within the estimated time frames. • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production. • Communicate any issues with machinery to supervisors. • Engage in 5S cleaning and organizing methods. • Adhere to company policies, safety, and quality standards. Essential Skills • Experience in assembly/manufacturing (0-2 years). • Proficiency in reading blueprints and work orders. • Skill in using hand and power tools. • Ability to measure using tape and convert decimals to fractions. • Capability to stand for 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. • Basic computer skills and PPE knowledge. • High School Degree, GED, or Certificate. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Manufacturing experience, especially in metal fabrication/metal joining. • Experience in mechanical assembly and progressive stamping. • Skilled in performing quality inspections. • OSHA certification preferred. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
