About this role

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role is a hands-on general labor position focused on production and mechanical assembly. You will assemble agricultural engines and related systems, operate multiple machines daily, and assist maintenance technicians with preventive tasks to ensure work orders are completed on time. The position involves following detailed blueprints and illustrations to build products to precise specifications, typically through a multi-step assembly process.Responsibilities

• Perform general production and assembly work on agricultural engines and value-add systems such as power generators, radiators, furnaces, inter-coolant systems, and cooling modules. • Operate multiple production and assembly machines safely and efficiently on a daily basis. • Assist maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance tasks to help ensure work orders are completed accurately and on schedule. • Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools to assemble mechanical components according to specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints and illustrations to assemble products through approximately 30 defined steps. • Inspect assembled components and systems for proper fit, function, and quality, and perform basic repairs or adjustments as needed. • Follow established production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and materials. • Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production goals and timelines. • Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality to support steady production flow. Essential Skills

• 1–3 years of general production or assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. • At least 1 year of experience working on cars or in automotive repair, maintenance, or related mechanical work. • Strong mechanical aptitude and Experience, with the ability to work confidently with mechanical assemblies. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly illustrations to follow detailed, multi-step processes. • Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, and torque tools for mechanical assembly and basic repair tasks. • Experience in automotive, mechanic, or lube tech work and familiarity with mechanical systems. • Demonstrated reliability in attendance and punctuality, with a commitment to meeting work schedule requirements. • Capability to perform general labor tasks in a production environment, including standing, moving, and handling parts throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production environments using high-tech equipment and modern assembly processes. • Experience in mechanical repair or maintenance beyond automotive work. • Ability to work effectively in a small assembly team and communicate clearly with coworkers and maintenance staff. • Comfort working with detailed mechanical components and following standardized work instructions. • Willingness to work overtime, including early start times and occasional partial Saturdays, when needed to meet production demands. The site has approximately 15–20 employees, including a focused assembly team of about 5–6 people, creating a small-team environment with close collaboration. The facility uses high-tech equipment and mechanical assembly tools, including hand tools, power tools, and torque tools. The dress code requires jeans, steel-toed boots, and a plain t-shirt, reflecting a practical, safety-conscious setting suitable for hands-on mechanical and production work. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Urbandale, IA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.18 - $19.18/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
