Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment. This role involves both mechanical and electrical repairs, breaking down machinery for cleaning, and starting up the machinery. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are essential. Responsibilities • Perform preventive maintenance on food processing equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues. • Break down machinery for cleaning and perform startup procedures. • Utilize electrical troubleshooting skills to resolve issues on equipment. • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure equipment efficiency and safety. Essential Skills • Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial mechanic or technician role. • Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting, including experience with 24-480V systems. • Experience in mechanical repair, including pneumatics, power transmission, and conveyors. • Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts, 7 days a week. • Familiarity with PLC, welding, and fabricating. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is preferred. • Good tenure and stability in previous roles. • Experience with control voltage and ability to diagnose electrical issues. • Familiarity with GMP standards. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a food manufacturing plant that adheres to GMP standards and operates in a refrigerated environment. Various shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with flexibility required. Tools, both basic and specialty, are provided, with the option to bring personal basic tools. The role currently requires working 5-6 days a week, with the possibility of shifts slowing as more technicians are hired. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
