About this role

Job Title: Low Voltage TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking four trainable entry-level electricians who are eager to learn and grow within the field of low voltage systems. This role requires individuals to follow verbal and written instructions, including work orders, diagrams, and wire lists, to determine the materials needed and the sequence of assembly. The position demands good communication and organizational skills, along with the capability to perform tasks such as panel build, panel mounting, panel penetrations, wiring, and cosmetic repairs. The candidate must be able to safely use and maintain hand and power tools while understanding and following company procedures and policies, as well as observing safety practices and procedures for various types of industrial manufacturing processes. Responsibilities • Follow verbal and written instructions, including work orders, diagrams, and wire lists. • Demonstrate communication and organizational skills. • Perform panel build, panel mounting, panel penetrations, wiring, and cosmetic repairs. • Safely use and maintain hand and power tools. • Understand and follow company procedures and policies. • Observe safety practices and procedures for various types of industrial manufacturing processes. Essential Skills • Experience in low voltage systems. • Troubleshooting skills. • Knowledge of access control systems. • Ability to read blueprints. • Installation and electrical inspection skills. • Quality inspection capabilities. • Data cable management. • Proficiency in using hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Proficiency with various power tools including drills, saws, and punch sets using corded, cordless, and hydraulic methods. • Intermediate computer skills. • Access Controls experience is a significant advantage. • Experience in 'head-in' work is beneficial. • Ability to follow directions and accept feedback. • Punctuality and reliability are essential. Work EnvironmentYou will be working indoors in a non-climate controlled setting from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and you must provide your own boots while other PPE will be provided. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
