Job Title: Production OperatorJob DescriptionThe Production Operator operates pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role follows specific written and verbal instructions, maintains a clean and safe work area, and supports daily production goals with accuracy and efficiency. The Production Operator collaborates closely with other departments, contributes to a strong team environment, and performs additional tasks as needed to help the organization meet its overall objectives. Responsibilities • Operate pharmaceutical processing and packaging equipment in accordance with cGMP requirements and established SOPs. • Follow specific written and verbal instructions provided by supervisors to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently. • Set up, run, monitor, and adjust machines and related equipment to ensure consistent product quality and output. • Clean and sanitize clean rooms, equipment, and work areas according to standard procedures to maintain a controlled and compliant environment. • Perform varied preventive maintenance tasks on production and packaging equipment as directed. • Operate miscellaneous related equipment and promptly report any defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns. • Weigh materials accurately, label packages correctly, and prepare shipping request forms in accordance with internal procedures. • Organize work to achieve daily production goals with no errors or deficiencies, maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance. • Inspect products and packaging to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Follow all SOPs and GMP regulations consistently throughout the production process. • Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Participate actively in a team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture. • Adhere to all safety precautions and company policies while performing daily tasks. • Perform other duties as required to support production needs and help meet company goals. Essential Skills • Experience operating production or packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. • Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and the ability to apply them in daily operations. • Ability to follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and written work instructions. • Hands-on experience with machine operation, including starting, stopping, monitoring, and basic adjustments. • Ability to perform weighing and labeling activities accurately and consistently. • Familiarity with general production processes, including packaging and inspection tasks. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work. • Ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively to meet daily production goals. • Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Capability to follow safety precautions and maintain a clean, compliant work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience as a production operator, packaging operator, or machine operator in a regulated environment. • Experience working in a clean room or pharmaceutical production setting. • Comfort with performing preventive maintenance tasks on equipment under guidance. • Ability to complete documentation and forms accurately, including shipping request forms. • Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to support other departments as needed. • Flexibility to perform additional duties to help meet overall company goals. The environment follows cGMP standards and utilizes clean rooms, production machinery, and related packaging equipment. Employees work within structured shifts: first shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., second shift from 3:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and third shift from 11:15 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The work setting emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs and GMP regulations, with a strong team-oriented atmosphere and a high level of employee retention. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $41600.00/yr.
