Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components to support the fabrication, modification, and repair of HVAC and climate-control equipment, trailers, and related structures. The welder reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to accurately measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal components while operating a variety of fabrication equipment in a manufacturing or shop environment.Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components with consistent quality and adherence to specifications. • Fabricate, modify, and repair HVAC and climate-control equipment, trailers, and related metal structures. • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to plan and execute welding and fabrication tasks. • Measure, cut, grind, fit, and assemble metal components according to design requirements and tolerances. • Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, and related tools in a safe and efficient manner. • Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications. • Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient workflow and safe operations. Essential Skills
• Proficiency in MIG welding, including experience working with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions for welding and fabrication work. • Hands-on experience with metal fabrication processes such as measuring, cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling components. • Skill in operating fabrication equipment including saws, drills, and grinders. • Technical school training or at least 1 year of on-the-job welding or fabrication experience. • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality welds and assemblies. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and welding for extended periods. • Commitment to following safety protocols and using appropriate PPE. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with TIG welding is a plus. • Previous work in a manufacturing or shop environment is beneficial. • Comfort reading and working from complex blueprints and fabrication drawings. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other team members. • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing fabrication and repair challenges. Team members use appropriate personal protective equipment, including a welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots, to maintain a safe working environment while operating fabrication tools and equipment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Burnsville, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
