Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionJoin our team as a General Laborer where you will be responsible for folding and assembling vegetable boxes with a partner, stacking them, and repeating this task efficiently. Your role will involve completing various physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and twisting during production, as well as performing housekeeping functions to ensure machinery operates properly, reduce hazards, and maintain the plant's appearance. You will also contribute to a team environment through cross-training and filling in for other operators during absences and breaks. Responsibilities • Fold and assemble vegetable boxes with a partner. • Stack completed boxes and repeat the task. • Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, twisting, etc. • Conduct housekeeping tasks to maintain machinery and plant appearance. • Contribute to a team environment by cross-training and covering for other operators during breaks and absences. Essential Skills • Experience in manufacturing, production, or labor. • Machine operation skills. • Forklift certification. • High school diploma or GED. • Ability to work in loud, hot, humid, dusty, and greasy environments. • Capability to perform tasks like lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for entire shifts. Additionally, you will receive training to develop skills for future roles. Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes two shifts, 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday. The facility is not climate-controlled and can get very hot in the summer. It is a warehouse environment with large machinery and forklifts; however, contractors will not operate the forklifts. Safety consciousness is crucial, and it is a smoke-free facility where leaving the property during shifts is not allowed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of MOGADORE, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
