Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin a growing team as a Maintenance Technician in a modern industrial facility in Kenton, OH. In this role, you perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring reliable operation of production machinery and building systems on a steady 2nd shift schedule with no weekend work. Responsibilities • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on industrial machinery and facility equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations. • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems, including motors, presses, and related equipment. • Disassemble and reassemble motors and mechanical components with precision to support repairs and equipment overhauls. • Maintain and service boilers, chillers, furnaces, and water pumps as needed to support facility utilities. • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems using schematics and technical documentation. • Conduct press machine maintenance, including inspection, adjustment, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. • Use electrical troubleshooting techniques to identify issues in industrial equipment and perform necessary repairs. • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and fluid schematics to guide troubleshooting and maintenance activities. • Perform PLC troubleshooting to support equipment controls and assist with resolving issues on Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms. • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage to support reliability and continuous improvement. • Collaborate with production and other maintenance personnel to prioritize work orders and ensure equipment is ready for scheduled operations. • Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Essential Skills • 2–4 years of experience in industrial maintenance working with a variety of production and facility equipment. • Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, furnaces, and water pumps. • Proficiency in motor disassembly and reassembly for repair and maintenance. • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment. • Experience performing both preventative and reactive maintenance in an industrial environment. • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including the ability to work from schematics. • Experience with press machine maintenance and repair. • Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on industrial machinery. • Comfort working on 2nd shift (6:00 PM–6:30 AM) on a rotating weekly schedule. • Ability to work effectively in a small maintenance team and support multiple pieces of equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance is strongly preferred. • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley and Siemens systems. • Additional experience with boilers, chillers, furnaces, and water pumps beyond minimum requirements is a plus. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Effective communication skills to coordinate with production and other departments. • Commitment to safety and adherence to established procedures and guidelines. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a modern industrial facility built in 2016, featuring updated equipment and machines. The site is small-scale, with an approximate headcount of 45 people and two shifts, and currently only two maintenance personnel on staff, providing a collaborative and focused work setting. The facility is clean and organized, contributing to a professional and efficient work atmosphere. It is non-temperature-controlled, but fans and large doors are used in warmer months to improve air flow and comfort. Work is performed on 2nd shift from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM following a rotating schedule: Week 1 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and Week 2 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), with no weekend shifts required. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenton, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
