TIG Welder Needed 1st Shift $21-24/hr! Job DescriptionThis role focuses on performing high-quality TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel rails and related components in a heavy industrial environment. You read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions, set up and adjust welding equipment, and ensure all welds meet strict quality and structural integrity standards while supporting production schedules and maintaining a safe, clean work area.Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel rails and related components with consistent quality and accuracy. • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and detailed work instructions to complete welding tasks correctly. • Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment as needed to meet job specifications and production requirements. • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality, accuracy, and structural integrity standards. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in full compliance with safety guidelines and procedures. • Meet established production schedules while maintaining high quality expectations. • Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate equipment to work safely in a heavy industrial environment. Essential Skills

• Previous welding experience in an industrial or fabrication setting. • Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) welding, particularly on stainless steel materials. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions accurately. • Skill in setting up and adjusting welding equipment to meet job specifications. • Strong attention to detail when inspecting welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity. • Ability to work safely and effectively in a heavy industrial environment. • Reliability in meeting production schedules and quality expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with stainless steel welding and fabrication. • Comfort working in high-temperature industrial settings. • Willingness to follow structured safety and cleanliness standards. You work around industrial welding equipment and stainless steel materials, following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
