(Depending on Shift) Job DescriptionThe Material Flow Team Lead maintains accurate inventories of raw materials and work-in-process, ensures timely material movement into and through manufacturing, and supports production by coordinating material flow to meet daily schedules and manufacturing commitments. This role serves as a key link between inventory control and production scheduling, providing clear communication and leadership to the material handling team.Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials in stock, on order, and work-in-process within production areas. • Provide up-to-date inventory information to production schedulers to support planning and manufacturing commitments. • Investigate and resolve inventory accuracy issues, including discrepancies and count variances. • Reorder materials or issue reorder requests when inventory levels require replenishment. • Coordinate the movement of material into, within, and out of manufacturing in a timely and professional manner. • Review the daily production schedule and ensure all jobs are properly covered in the market and receiving areas. • Confirm that material availability supports production and manufacturing commitments for each shift. • Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate important announcements, performance metrics, and company updates to the team. • Oversee shipping, receiving, order picking, and material handling activities to ensure efficient workflow. • Operate and direct the safe use of forklifts and RF scanners in support of material movement. • Support and supervise team members in inventory, production support, and shipping and receiving functions. • Promote collaboration and strong working relationships within the material flow and production teams. • Ensure accurate counting, labeling, and documentation of materials throughout the warehouse and production areas. Essential Skills

• Forklift training and certification. • Ability to safely operate forklifts in a warehouse and production environment. • Experience with inventory control and material handling in manufacturing or warehouse settings. • Supervision or team lead experience in shipping, receiving, or production support environments. • Proficiency with RF scanners for picking and inventory transactions. • Accurate counting skills and attention to detail in tracking materials. • Ability to lift and perform physically demanding tasks associated with material handling and receiving. • Basic computer skills to access inventory data and production schedules. • Strong communication skills to lead pre-shift meetings and convey metrics and company information. • Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with team members across departments. Team members work around material handling equipment, including forklifts and RF scanners, and spend significant time on their feet performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials. Multiple shift options are available: a 1st shift from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Thursday, a 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am Monday through Thursday, and a weekend shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday through Sunday. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and clear communication to ensure smooth coordination between warehouse and manufacturing activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk River, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.50 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
