You will use precision measuring tools to inspect components, document production data accurately, and perform basic lubrication and maintenance of machines and fixtures to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation.Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machines according to work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures. • Use micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, rulers, and tape measures to verify dimensions and tolerances of parts. • Inspect parts and products during and after production to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. • Cut materials to specified dimensions using appropriate tools and equipment. • Monitor machine performance and product output, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. • Troubleshoot basic machine and process issues, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel when necessary. • Document production data, including measurements, counts, and inspection results, in an accurate and timely manner. • Lubricate machines, fixtures, and related equipment as required to maintain proper operation. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following housekeeping and safety guidelines. • Follow all established safety rules, including proper use of hand tools, measuring devices, and personal protective equipment. Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of experience in a production process, preferably in the metals industry. • High School Diploma or GED. • Proven ability to operate production and manufacturing machines safely and effectively. • Proficiency in using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, rulers, and tape measures for precise measurement. • Experience with inspection processes to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall product quality. • Hands-on experience with hand tools commonly used in production environments. • Basic troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving routine machine or process issues. • Ability to read and understand measurements, dimensions, and tolerances. • Capability to document data accurately and maintain production and inspection records. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a metals production environment. • Familiarity with general production workflows and quality control practices. • Comfort working with various measuring instruments and inspection tools. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new equipment and processes. • Good communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and team members on production and quality issues. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe, NM. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
