The Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE), Snacking serves as the bridge between advanced technology capabilities and practical business application across McCain’s Snacking business. This role partners directly with business stakeholders to deploy AI, automation, data, and digital solutions that improve commercial performance, product innovation, customer engagement, supply chain effectiveness, operational efficiency, and decision-making. Working at the intersection of business and technology, the FDE translates business opportunities into scalable AI-enabled solutions by partnering with Snacking teams, Digital Technology, Data & Analytics, AI Engineering, Security, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders. The role ensures solutions are deployed responsibly, adopted by users, integrated into existing workflows, and scaled where measurable business value is demonstrated. What you’ll be doing.

• Partner with Snacking business teams to identify opportunities where AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies can improve business outcomes, operational efficiency, and customer value. • Translate business challenges and opportunities into clear technical requirements, solution designs, and deployment roadmaps. • Deploy practical solutions that support product innovation, portfolio management, customer engagement, commercial execution, demand planning, supply chain optimization, and operational excellence. • Lead or support pilots, proofs of concept, and rapid experimentation efforts to validate business value before broader deployment. • Define success measures, adoption criteria, business outcomes, and evaluation frameworks for new solutions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to test solutions in real-world business environments and recommend whether initiatives should scale, refine, pause, or retire. • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve productivity, insight generation, decision-making, customer experiences, and business processes. • Partner with AI Engineering, Data & Analytics, Security, Legal, and Digital Technology teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards and governance requirements. • Act as a trusted translator between technical teams and business stakeholders, simplifying complex concepts and ensuring alignment on priorities. • Support the integration of new AI and digital capabilities into existing workflows, platforms, systems, and business processes. • Identify data, process, and technology gaps that may impact solution effectiveness and work with stakeholders to address them. • Develop enablement materials, playbooks, training content, and user guidance to accelerate adoption and successful change management. • Gather user feedback and continuously improve deployed solutions based on business needs and outcomes. • Promote responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, and ethical technology use across all deployments. • Share reusable frameworks, deployment patterns, lessons learned, and best practices across the AI and digital organization. What you’ll need to be successful.

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, Data & Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in technology deployment, digital transformation, AI enablement, data and analytics, product development, commercial technology, or related disciplines. • Strong understanding of business processes within consumer packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, snacking, commercial operations, supply chain, product innovation, customer engagement, or comparable industries. • Demonstrated experience deploying technology solutions within business functions and driving adoption in real-world environments. • Experience with AI, automation platforms, data and analytics tools, digital products, enterprise applications, or customer-facing technologies. • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and technical concepts into clear business language. • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills. • Proven ability to balance innovation, business value, risk management, and operational realities. • Experience working effectively in a global, matrixed enterprise environment. • Understanding of privacy, security, responsible AI, compliance, and data governance principles. • Experience supporting pilots, experimentation, and scaled deployment of AI-enabled business solutions is highly desirable. • Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, enterprise data platforms, or modern AI ecosystems is an asset. About the team. The Forward Deployment Engineer, Snacking is a senior individual contributor within McCain’s AI and Digital organization. The role partners closely with Snacking business leaders, Digital Technology, AI Engineering, Data & Analytics, Security, Legal, and cross-functional teams to accelerate the deployment of high-value AI and digital solutions. Working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, the FDE helps bring innovative technologies into day-to-day operations while ensuring strong governance, adoption, and measurable business impact.
