Job Title: Maintenance MechanicHours: 1st Shift 8am-4:30pm Monday-FridayPay: $25-$28Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Mechanic performs preventive and predictive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation across the facility. This role inspects mechanical systems for wear or potential failures, troubleshoots issues, and completes repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. The position also involves assembling and testing new equipment, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and consistently following all safety regulations and company policies.Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. • Inspect mechanical systems regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they impact operations. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting. • Replace defective components such as bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical parts. • Assemble, install, and test new equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation and integration into existing systems. • Conduct conveyor maintenance and other routine equipment checks to maintain consistent production flow. • Read and interpret technical documents, equipment manuals, and schematics to diagnose issues and plan repairs. • Support facility operations by responding to maintenance requests and participating in overtime work when needed. Essential Skills
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, facilities maintenance, or a closely related field. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment and material handling machinery. • Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting and repair. • Basic understanding of electrical principles as they apply to industrial equipment and controls. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions. • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Ability to perform repairs and component replacements on bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, and similar parts. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks. • Ability to fabricate parts or supports as needed for equipment installation and repair. • PLC troubleshooting exposure or experience is a plus. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of West Chester, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
