About this role
Clarksville CSD is seeking a long-term substitute kindergarten teacher to provide classroom instruction and support during a teacher's maternity leave. Responsibilities
• Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.
• Follow established lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Assess student learning and provide appropriate feedback and support.
• Maintain effective classroom management.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, staff, and administration.
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete other routine classroom responsibilities.
Qualifications
• Valid Iowa teaching license or Substitute authorization or other appropriate Iowa licensure required.
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff.
Position Details This is a temporary long-term substitute position for the duration of the teacher's maternity leave. The selected candidate will receive support from the building administration and teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition and consistent learning experience for students.
