Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing guidance and recommendations on Water Management and Hydrology, Hydraulics and Coastal (HH&C) programs; managing application of procedures for evaluation of status of water resources; and setting water management business objectives and standardizing business processes. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
Major DutiesResponsible for program management functions related to the Water Management mission in the Division.Program include all policy and technical activities employed in river, reservoir, and lake regulation and Water Management policy interpretation and application.Water Management programs are of extreme importance to the regional and national well-being and require high level conferences, consultation, and coordination to ensure the best possible control and use of the region's water resources.Program management requires the application of extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Water Management function to provide technical and policy assistance to district water managers in program execution and issue resolution.The complexity and technical detail of the Water Management program requires the incumbent to be technically competent and conversant in all program areas and have a good understanding of the Water Management business process at the Districts.
