Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY NUCLEAR ENGINEER or a SUPERVISORY HEALTH PHYSICIST in the Radiological Control Department (c105) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer or health physicist developing plans, specifications and procedures for the accomplishment of radiological and nuclear facilities work that includes reviewing plans and engineer work documents for proper radiological application. Major DutiesYou will consult with key officials of engineering, design, planning, training and production organizations concerning technical aspects of radiological and nuclear facility processes, radioactive waste disposal and maintenance work.You will prepare plans, specifications, process procedures for the accomplishment of radiological and nuclear facility processes, radioactive waste characterization, processing and disposal shipments generated by maintenance related work.You will review plans, engineered work documents and technical proposals of other such organizations for proper radiological application.You will assist the Head, Radiological Engineering Division on radiological technical matters involving the initiation, improvement, evaluation and scheduling of major programs or projects undertaken by the Radiological Engineering Division.You will recommend changes to the Head, Radiological Engineering division relating to organization, function, responsibility and authority for various aspects of the radiological program at the branch level.
