Job SummaryYou will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Expeditionary Warfare Weapons & Energy Systems Department (JX), Weapon Systems Fleet Engineering Division (JXN), Naval Weapons Branch (JXNR) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical guidance on the development of numerous warfare weapons systems training by analyzing program effectiveness and implementing improvements to ensure training standards and requirements are met. Major DutiesYou will serve as the lead trainer for Blue Water Navy Armorer course to support all U.S. Navy small arms weapons training.You will manage the training schedule for all Blue Water Navy Armorers courses along with supporting other training requirement for Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and SOCOM.You will be required to provide cost estimates to customers along with developing new training based on service common small arms weapon changes and additions.You will be responsible for maintaining secondary instructors credentials ensuring that they are fully trained and certified on all required weapons.
