About this role
The Staff Web Engineer – Full Stack (Frontend Heavy) will play a key role in building scalable, consumer-facing web applications within the Marketplace domain in Experian Consumer Services. This role focuses on strong frontend development while having a good understanding of backend (Java) systems to contribute to end-to-end solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test key programs within Marketplace EngineeringBuild clean, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces that represent Experian to its consumersDevelop technical solutions with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and performanceCollaborate with business stakeholders, product management, and PMO on product roadmaps and quarterly planningParticipate in code and design reviews to identify issues early and reduce reworkEnsure stable production operations with a focus on uptime, performance, and reliabilityWork effectively as part of a global engineering team, ensuring strong collaboration, communication, and timely delivery Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience8 to 11 years of UI engineering experience using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScriptStrong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or AngularExperience building modern frontend architectures including Server‑Driven UI (SDUI), GraphQL, and Micro Frontends (MFE)Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, responsive design, and cross‑browser compatibilityExperience with unit and end‑to‑end testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Playwright, etc.)Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks (nice to have)Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques and best practicesGood understanding of Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectureFamiliarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and backend integration patternsBasic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems conceptsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools, version control systems (Git), and build toolsStrong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices Our uniqueness is that we celebrate yours.
