What you’ll be doing
As the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in executing and implementing high impact software solutions for North America’s Financial Services and Data (FSD) Delivery organization. In this role, you will be driving the planning, coordination and execution of the day-to-day activities with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization. Not only a deep product knowledge of North America FSD’s products will be required, but exceptional professional client consulting. Our clients range on a wide scale of technical proficiencies. Speaking to the client’s technical level is a key skill as well as being able to effectively communicate with client executives. Managing multiple subject matter experts with competing priorities during a project implementation is required.
Perform as technical project manager on small to large client project implementations that can exceed twelve months in duration or having significant budget (revenue) impact on the business unitAct as Subject Matter Expert assigned to manage multiple projects at the same time. This role as a delivery expert will manage a team (across multiple organizations) to oversee the success of the client implementation. The project resources will similarly be engaged with competing responsibilities.Manage the program-level execution of work across multiple delivery teams working across organizational boundaries to define roadmaps and program interdependencies using Agile methodologyProvide task assignments, work direction and guidance to the project team to achieve quality resultsLead tech-enabled projects and manage daily operations of department, including analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.Be a bridge between delivery, engineering, product and Sales recommending intuitive, focused, driven, and insightful solutionsYou will be interacting with clients and representing Experian in client meetings by performing executive status reporting readouts on change management, current state assessments, future state roadmaps, implementation strategyMove fluidly from the big picture to details and enable the delivery and engineering teams to deliver complex and strategic cross-functional phases, often with tight deadlines.Resolve communication challenges and effectively develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Mainly, build trust across the organizationBuild artifacts and templates, participate on process improvement projects and develop standards and best practices as neededDomestic travel as needed occasionally, though most work would be accomplished using remote enablement technologies.Train, mentor, coach new project managers.
Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent college degree, 5-10 years functional experience, 3-5 years supervisory experience. MBA or MIS is preferredExperience as a Project Manager is required; PMP certification is encouraged · Clear and excellent communication skills is a mustExperience with executive status reporting and facilitating steering committee meetings is requiredStrong understanding of Agile methodology is criticalExperience on working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and teams · Experience in large scale technology modernization, and managing platforms in the Cloud · Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives when necessaryBroad domain and technical knowledge related to analyticsExperience in the full software development life cycle and what responsibilities each team plays in that journey Strong experience with driving large scale technology modernizations is a must · Understanding of integrations, API’s, transactional systems, architecture is preferredMust be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practicesAdvanced knowledge of project management methodology and tools, and be able to learn about the business and solutions we are deliveringMust be able to handle execution responsibilities for several projects at one time, each with competing/conflicting prioritiesMust have experience in a consulting role, preferably to Financial InstitutionsBroad domain and technical knowledge related to analyticsAdvanced knowledge of computer systems and processes and PC desktop applications such as MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence, etc.Advanced project management (driver, anticipator, proactive) and organizational skillsAdvanced problem solving and analytical skillsAdvanced negotiation and conflict management skillsAdvanced leadership skills Able to travel domestically Our uniqueness is that we celebrate yours.
