About this role
Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School is seeking a dedicated and dependable Full-Time Daily Substitute Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year. The Daily Substitute Teacher will provide instructional and classroom support by assuming teaching responsibilities during teacher absences. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of instruction, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the school's mission of academic excellence and faith-based education.
Essential Functions:
• Actively supervise students at all times
• Respond to all parent communication in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration
• Oversee the instruction of students following the plans provided by the regular teacher
• Follow the daily routine of the teacher and fill in for duties outside the classroom, such as morning drop-off or pick-up, as needed
• Work collaboratively with other teachers, assistants, staff, and administration
• Interact effectively and respond to communication in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner.
Position Qualifications:
• Degree in education preferred.
• Current MSDE certification preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.
• Experience teaching in a high school setting.
• Ability to support the mission of the Catholic Church within the scope of assigned job duties.
Pay Rate: $16.00, Hourly
