Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description
• This role offers a hands-on opportunity for a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical skills and solid electrical experience to keep a manufacturing plant and its machinery running safely and efficiently • You will work closely with a small team of technicians to perform a blend of proactive preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent product quality Job Responsibilities
• Perform daily preventive maintenance (PMs) on manufacturing and production equipment and accurately update all activities in the computerized maintenance system • Respond immediately to equipment and line breakdowns, prioritize reactive maintenance, and work with other technicians to restore production as quickly and safely as possible • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and replace mechanical components such as pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, gears, motors, drive shafts, sprockets, cams, chains, and related systems • Perform mechanical work including welding, plumbing and piping, quick tube disconnects for plumbing and pumps, and lubrication tasks such as oiling and greasing equipment • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and replace electrical components on production equipment, including wires, relays, sensors, and circuits up to 480V • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and other technical documentation to diagnose issues and plan repairs • Use relay and PLC troubleshooting techniques to track and trace electrical issues, verify inputs and outputs, and view existing PLC programs to aid in diagnostics (without modifying programs) Essential Skills
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of manufacturing or production equipment • Hands-on experience working with pumps, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair • Experience with conveyors, including mechanical troubleshooting and repair • Demonstrated experience performing preventive maintenance (PMs) on production equipment • Experience with quick tube disconnects for plumbing and pump systems • Mechanical skills including work on gearboxes, gears, motors, welding, plumbing and piping, drive shafts, sprockets, cams, chains, and lubrication tasks such as oiling and greasing • At least 1+ year of experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of components on manufacturing or production equipment. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics • Experience with relay and PLC troubleshooting, including tracking and tracing electrical issues, checking inputs and outputs, and using PLC programs for diagnostics Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.50 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
