Job Title: Sanitation WorkerJob DescriptionThe Sanitation Worker maintains all plant surfaces and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition throughout the shift in a food manufacturing environment. This role follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) under the guidance of the Sanitation and Quality Assurance teams, supporting food safety programs and regulatory requirements. The position requires consistent use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, strict adherence to safety protocols, and proactive communication to ensure a safe, hygienic, and efficient production facility.3rd shift - (9pm to 5:30am) $21.50/hr Responsibilities

• Maintain all plant surfaces, equipment, restrooms, break rooms, and trash areas in a clean and sanitary condition throughout the shift. • Execute GMP and SSOP procedures consistently and support USDA pre-operational inspections and food safety programs. • Use, handle, and secure cleaning chemicals properly according to safety and quality guidelines. • Follow Lock-out/Tag-out and Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) safety procedures when working with equipment. • Complete sanitation logs, cleaning schedules, and pest control records accurately and on time in accordance with Quality Assurance guidelines. • Prevent cross-contamination, water damage, and other sanitation-related hazards by following established procedures. • Clean and sanitize production areas, food-contact surfaces, and non-food-contact areas using appropriate tools and high-pressure hoses. • Lead by example in uniform, hygiene, and safety compliance, including proper use of GMP personal protective equipment (PPE). • Assist with water conservation efforts and help prepare equipment and areas for production after sanitation. • Report equipment malfunctions, missing parts, safety concerns, and any unusual conditions promptly to the appropriate personnel. • Adapt to shift changes and changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and safety. • Read, understand, and follow safety, sanitation, and procedure documents, and apply them consistently during daily tasks. • Use cleaning equipment and tools effectively and safely, including hoses, scrubbers, and other janitorial or sanitation devices. • Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support efficient and safe operations. • Provide reliable attendance, communicate clearly with team members, and maintain a customer service mindset toward internal stakeholders. Essential Skills

• Knowledge of food processing environments and food manufacturing sanitation requirements. • Experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals in a production or janitorial setting. • Experience working closely with food and understanding basic food safety principles. • Ability to follow GMP and SSOP guidelines and comply with USDA and food safety protocols. • Ability to lift 25 lbs continuously, 40 lbs frequently, and exert up to 50 lbs occasionally. • Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently, and to use hands and arms for handling and reaching on a continuous basis. • Ability to climb and balance continuously and to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl frequently. • Ability to work on feet for extended periods and perform general labor and janitorial duties in a fast-paced environment. • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate clearly throughout the shift. • Excellent attendance record and a customer service-oriented mindset. • Ability to read and complete sanitation records, cleaning schedules, and safety documents in English. • Ability to make sound decisions, manage time effectively, and use equipment safely and efficiently. • Comfort working overnight shifts from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable working under GMP guidelines, including wearing smocks, hair nets, and GMP-compliant PPE, and avoiding jewelry or makeup while on the production floor. • Comfortable in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with exposure to various smells and wet conditions. • Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial duties, general labor, or food manufacturing is highly beneficial. • Familiarity with Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) practices. • Ability to prevent cross-contamination and follow allergen control and traceability procedures. • Spanish language skills are a plus for reading or understanding documents and communicating with team members. • Demonstrated ability to adapt to shift changes and changing operational needs while maintaining safety and quality standards. The work environment includes exposure to extreme temperatures ranging from approximately 35°F to 85°F, frequent contact with water (including sanitation water up to 150°F), cleaning chemicals, and high-pressure hoses. You will work near moving mechanical parts, experience frequent vibration and moderate noise levels, and navigate wet floors and various food-related smells. The position requires continuous standing, walking, and handling, as well as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as part of routine tasks. Dress code follows strict GMP requirements, including wearing appropriate PPE such as smocks, hair nets, and other protective gear, and not wearing jewelry or makeup in production areas to maintain hygiene and food safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
