This role works with VFD and servo motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical and electrical systems, using blueprints and OEM documentation to perform preventive and corrective maintenance. The technician responds to maintenance requests, supports production uptime, and ensures equipment complies with OEM and OSHA standards while working both independently and under supervision.Responsibilities
• Meet all required competency items and performance expectations for a Level I Maintenance Technician. • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform timely repairs on industrial equipment, including light building repairs. • Perform basic preventive maintenance (PM) procedures by following a prescribed program and schedule. • Install basic electrical components such as switches, limit devices, and related hardware. • Fabricate basic parts and components as needed to support machine repair and improvement. • Use basic shop tools safely and effectively to perform necessary repairs and adjustments. • Refer to and follow OEM manuals and documentation to perform basic setup, maintenance, and repair procedures. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair basic machine problems that impact quality and productivity, identifying and addressing root causes. • Follow outlined inventory control processes for parts, tools, and materials at the Level I technician scope. • Work with supervision to complete assigned tasks, projects, and maintenance work orders. • Identify safety concerns related to OSHA regulations and escalate or address them appropriately. • Maintain all equipment in accordance with OEM guidelines, OSHA requirements, and internal standards. • Perform other related duties as assigned to support maintenance and operations. Essential Skills
• High school diploma or equivalent. • At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar industrial maintenance role. • Ability to understand and work with VFD (variable frequency drive) systems and servo motors. • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics in an industrial environment. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics. • Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance and repair, including conveyors and motors. • Basic electrical skills, including working with three-phase power and installing components such as switches and limits. • Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. • Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. • Ability to use basic shop tools safely and effectively for repair and fabrication tasks. • Capability to diagnose and repair basic machine issues and identify root causes affecting quality and productivity. • Ability to follow established inventory control processes at a Level I technician scope. • Ability to work under supervision and complete assigned work accurately and on time. • Strong safety awareness, including identifying concerns related to OSHA regulations. • Ability to follow OEM manuals and written procedures for setup, maintenance, and repair. • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Familiarity with conveyors, motors, and other common production equipment. • Experience with maintenance repair practices on three-phase electrical systems. • Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication equipment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment standards. • Willingness to work independently when needed to solve problems or make repairs. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond effectively to urgent maintenance needs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $70500.00/yr.
