Purpose of Position Responsible for the Global Gilbarco Veeder-Root quality management system (QMS) and all of its related compliance.

Key Responsibilities  Manage quality policies, procedures, processes, programs, and practices, to assure the company of continuous improvement, conformance and effectiveness.  Manage global quality systems share point and records system.  Coordinate with global QMS leaders to ensure awareness and understanding of the Quality Management System.  Manage internal audit system and team of auditors.  Notify management of QMS audit findings and corrective actions taken.  Ensure that the procedures and processes prescribed by the quality management system are in place and implemented.  QMS introduction training and auditor training as needed.  Drive quality related policy deployment objectives.  Utilize statistical methods and root cause problem solving in analyzing quality issues and quality standards.  Assist in the development of action plans in support of quality related policy deployment objectives and improvement projects.  Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.  Manage QMS and all of its related compliance.  Assist management and project teams in selecting quality measures and setting up quality reporting systems.  Lead kaizen and problem-solving events.  Other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Background and Skill  Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline-ideally in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Electro-mechanical  3+ years of people leadership experience  7+ years in a manufacturing environment  Must have work experience in a manufacturing engineer or production  3-5 years of experience in quality planning, tools and analysis in a manufacturing environment  Knowledge of quality principles and tools (problem analysis, statistical tools, design of experiments, reliability, control charts and other quality methodologies) with the ability to train others  Must have experience with overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) for a site or division  Lead Auditor certified with 1-3 years of experience in a Lead Auditor position  Previous Lean experience, Green to Black Belt certified  Prefer someone that has spent a large portion of career in an automotive or aerospace environment  Good systems and data acquisition knowledge: Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)  Experience with various regulatory standards (ISO, UL, etc).  IATF/TS 16949 experience highly desirable.  Experience in ISO9001, ISO4001, ISO18000  CQE certified
