Job Title: 1st and 2nd Shift Industrial PainterJob DescriptionThis role involves performing high-quality spray painting in a manufacturing environment on very large assemblies, using professional spray equipment and access equipment to reach all surfaces safely and efficiently. You will work on a structured shift schedule and contribute to the finishing of large-scale products by applying coatings that meet strict quality and appearance standards.Responsibilities
• Perform spray painting on large industrial assemblies using paint guns, paint sprayers, and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. • Use ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts safely to access assemblies from all angles, including structures up to approximately 100 feet long and 20 feet tall. • Apply coatings using airless pumps and HVLP spray systems, ensuring consistent coverage and adherence to required specifications. • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot paint equipment, including flushing paint lines and ensuring all components operate correctly. • Follow multi-stage paint techniques, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing coats, to achieve high-quality results. • Mix and match paints as needed to achieve correct colors and finishes, following established formulas and guidelines when applicable. • Inspect workpieces before and after painting to confirm proper surface preparation, coverage, and finish quality. • Adhere to safety procedures when working at heights and with paint materials, equipment, and chemicals. • Coordinate with supervisors and team members on job priorities, schedules, and any issues that arise during the painting process. • Keep the work area organized, clean, and compliant with company standards and safety requirements. Essential Skills
• Experience as an automotive, industrial, or commercial/residential painter with spray painting responsibilities. • Proficiency using paint guns and paint sprayers in a professional setting. • Hands-on experience with airless pump systems for paint application. • Experience with HVLP spray equipment and spray painting techniques. • Ability to safely use ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts to access large assemblies from multiple angles. • Ability to maintain and service paint equipment, including flushing paint lines and performing routine cleaning and upkeep. • Familiarity with multi-stage paint techniques, including preparation, priming, and finishing. • Capability to follow instructions, paint specifications, and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment. • Experience mixing and matching paint to achieve specific colors and finishes. • Background in automotive painting, industrial painting, or commercial/residential spray painting environments. • Comfort working on large-scale assemblies, including structures up to approximately 100 feet long and 20 feet tall. • Willingness to work different shifts, including first shift, second shift, or weekend shifts as needed. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. The operation runs on multiple shifts, including a first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and a weekend shift on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., where employees work 36 hours and receive pay equivalent to 40 hours. You will work with paint guns, paint sprayers, airless pump systems, and HVLP spray equipment in a production setting that emphasizes safety, communication, and teamwork. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.70 - $24.70/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
