Job Title: LTL Freight Cross Dock OperatorJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as an LTL Freight Cross Dock Operator in Calgary. This role involves operating a Sit Down Counter Balance forklift and handling various tasks to ensure efficient dock operations.Responsibilities
• Operate a Sit Down Counter Balance forklift to assist with moving pallets. • Unload and load trailers with freight using the forklift, accounting for 60% of your day. • Engage in hand bombing and moving products manually, up to 50lbs, based on daily shipment volumes. • Manage bills of lading and other paperwork throughout your shift. • Collaborate with team members on unloading paperwork. • Contribute to yard cleanup and maintain a safe, debris-free dock environment. • Engage in cleaning duties each shift to uphold safety standards. Essential Skills
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating a Sit Down Counter Balance forklift. • Experience loading and unloading trailers using a forklift. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout a shift. • Adaptability to fast-paced environments and the ability to switch tasks quickly. • Valid forklift ticket (in-house or private, with options for ticket renewal). Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environments. • Safety vest is strongly recommended. • Leadership experience is an asset. • Experience with RF Scanners and waybills/bills of lading.
