Job Title: Brake Press OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team in Kent, OH. This role requires operating CNC and manual brake press machines to produce high-quality parts according to technical specifications. Responsibilities • Set up brake press machines with the correct materials, tools, and dies. • Adjust machine settings to meet required specs and tolerances. • Run CNC and/or manual brake press machines, including making or editing programs as needed. • Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to produce accurate parts. • Check production using measuring tools like calipers and gauges. • Ensure all parts meet quality standards and requirements. • Move finished parts safely using cranes, hoists, or other lifting equipment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area. • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures. Essential Skills • High School Diploma or GED. • Experience operating brake press equipment. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong shop math skills. • Experience using precision measuring tools. • Ability to operate lifts or cranes (or willingness to learn). • Prior manufacturing experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in a manufacturing environment with noise and heat. • Ability to stand for extended periods. • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Manual dexterity. Work EnvironmentThis position operates on a 2nd shift from 1:45 PM to 2:15 AM, Monday through Friday. The work environment involves noise and heat, and requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. The role demands adherence to safety protocols and the ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
