Job Title: Concrete LaborerJob DescriptionThis role involves performing a wide range of concrete construction tasks, including rebar installation, wall forming, and flatwork on commercial, industrial, and municipal projects throughout Rock County and Southern Wisconsin. You will work outdoors all day, using hand and power tools to support ground-up construction projects and help deliver high-quality concrete work in varying weather conditions.Responsibilities
• Perform concrete labor tasks such as rebar installation, wall forming, and flatwork on commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. • Assist with commercial ground-up construction projects across multiple sites in the Rock County and Southern Wisconsin area. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily assignments. • Handle general labor duties on construction sites, including site preparation, cleanup, and material handling. • Work outdoors all day in a variety of weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards. • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. • Support self-performed carpentry and concrete activities as part of a field team of approximately 20 workers. • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). • Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule and to quality specifications. Essential Skills
• 1–2+ years of concrete experience, including exposure to rebar, wall forming, and flatwork. • Hands-on experience with concrete work in commercial construction environments. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly throughout the workday. • Capability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely on construction sites. • Reliable transportation to travel up to approximately one hour around Clinton, WI. • Strong general labor skills and comfort working on active construction sites. • Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, and high-visibility shirts. Work EnvironmentYou will work outdoors in all weather elements on commercial ground-up projects, including commercial, industrial, and municipal jobs. The company operates as a smaller general contractor with typical project sizes ranging from approximately $3–5 million and a self-performing field team of about 20 workers focused on carpentry and concrete. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The dress code emphasizes safety and visibility, with required personal protective equipment including a hard hat, safety glasses, and a high-visibility shirt. You will regularly use a variety of hand tools and power tools while working on active construction sites. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Janesville, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
