About this role

Job Title: Receiving InspectorJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing high-quality inspection of incoming materials and components to ensure they meet strict aerospace manufacturing standards. You will apply quality control principles, verify tolerances, and use precision measuring tools to confirm that received parts comply with specifications and documentation requirements.Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and components to ensure they meet established quality and aerospace industry standards. • Perform detailed tolerance checks using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to verify that received items conform to requirements. • Use basic shop mathematics and statistics to evaluate measurement results and support data-driven quality decisions. • Document inspection results accurately and completely, including nonconformance reports and related records. • Enter and maintain inspection and inventory data in MRP/MRB database systems and spreadsheets. • Support inventory control by verifying quantities, part numbers, and documentation for received items. • Use scanners and related tools to track and record inventory movement and inspection status. • Apply AS9100 quality system requirements during inspection activities and documentation. • Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and procurement teams to resolve inspection issues and material discrepancies. • Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally to relevant stakeholders. • Maintain organized records and ensure traceability of inspected parts and materials. • Follow established procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment. • Contribute to continuous improvement of inspection processes and quality control practices. Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience in quality control and inspection within a manufacturing environment. • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Ability to perform tolerance checks and verify conformance to specifications. • Basic blueprint reading skills to interpret drawings and technical documentation. • Understanding of basic shop mathematics and basic statistics or analytics. • Experience using MRP/MRB database systems for recording and tracking inspection data. • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management system requirements. • Inventory control experience, including use of scanners for tracking materials. • Demonstrated expertise in using the MS Office Suite, including Excel for data entry and reporting. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness. • Excellent documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Delegated Manufacturing Inspection Representative certification. • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. • Experience in quality assurance or similar quality-focused roles. • Comfort working with electronic records and digital documentation systems. • Ability to adapt to evolving quality standards and process improvements. You will work primarily on-site in a production and inspection area, using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, scanners, and computer systems for MRP/MRB databases and MS Office applications. The role follows a day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You can expect a professional industrial environment where adherence to safety procedures and standard manufacturing practices is essential. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
