About this role

Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting warehouse operations by safely loading and unloading trucks, staging products for production, and moving finished goods into storage. You will work as part of a small, close-knit team of about five people in a clean, modern facility. Workload can vary throughout the month, with some days being slower and others very fast-paced, so you will need to comfortably wear multiple hats, take initiative during slower periods, and make strong, reliable contributions during busy times.Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and securely to move goods, pallets, and equipment throughout the warehouse. • Load and unload pallets from trucks, rail cars, and storage areas into and out of the warehouse. • Verify that all loads are secure, correctly staged, and undamaged before movement or storage. • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area in accordance with company and departmental standards. • Complete the Forklift Operator Daily Checklist prior to operating equipment and report any issues. • Follow all department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other required safety and quality guidelines. • Connect and disconnect rail cars on a daily basis in all weather conditions while following safety protocols. • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including general labor, material handling, and housekeeping. • Learn and operate a turret truck and other powered industrial trucks as required. • Support space allocation and utilization in the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and material flow. • Transfer inventory between locations when required and help maintain accurate warehouse inventory records. • Perform order picking, packing, and shipping and receiving activities using RF scanners and related tools. • Handle packaging, palletizing, and staging of products for production and outbound shipments. • Bring finished products from production into the warehouse and place them in appropriate storage locations. • Use electric pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers when needed. • Assist with logistics activities, including loading, unloading, and coordinating material movements. • Carry out other tasks as assigned to support overall warehouse and production operations. Essential Skills

• Proven forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environment. • Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, with willingness to learn turret truck operations. • Experience with pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and general material handling equipment. • Capability to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis. • Basic math skills to handle counts, measurements, and simple calculations. • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions, safety procedures, and documentation. • Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including loading, unloading, and documentation. • Hands-on experience with picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities. • Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory control, picking, and warehouse transactions. • Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. • Valid forklift license or certification, or the ability to obtain one as required. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience operating larger reach trucks, cherry pickers, and turret trucks is a strong plus. • warehouse inventory control and space utilization is beneficial. • Exposure to logistics operations, including truck and rail car loading and unloading. • Experience using SAP or other shipping and receiving software systems is an advantage. • Comfort working in a small team environment and supporting coworkers across different tasks. • Ability to adapt to varying workloads and remain productive during both slow and high-intensity periods. • Strong attention to detail when verifying loads, inventory counts, and documentation. • Reliability and punctuality, with a strong focus on safety and quality. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The environment combines periods of steady, routine work with times of high activity, requiring flexibility and focus. You will regularly use forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling and inventory technologies. The facility is organized and safety-oriented, providing a professional warehouse setting where collaboration and communication are important. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leominster, MA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
