Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionAs a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the reconditioning of heat exchange plates. This involves removing old rubber gaskets, power washing the plates, testing for cracks or holes, washing and drying, gluing new gaskets, transferring into the oven, and packaging for shipment. Responsibilities • Recondition heat exchange plates by removing old rubber gaskets. • Clean plates using power washers and test them for defects such as cracks or holes. • Use a black light and special material to identify defects in the plates. • Wash and dry plates after testing. • Glue new gaskets onto the plates and transfer them into an oven to adhere. • Cool and package plates for shipment. Essential Skills • 1 year of manufacturing or production experience. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work effectively in a team. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Self-motivation. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with general labor, packing, production, material handling, assembly, and packaging. • Proficiency in using hand tools and forklifts. • Cleaning and maintenance skills. This is a first-shift opportunity from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and jeans, and safety glasses and gloves are provided by the employer. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, IA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
