About this role

Job Title: Hot Chop production line associateJob DescriptionCandidates will be working in a production environment that produces food products, specifically involving hot peppers and strong smells. The role requires working both indoors and outdoors, managing production lines, boxing and stacking products, loading and unloading machines, and palletizing products.Responsibilities

• Work on production lines, boxing and stacking products. • Load and unload products into machines. • Palletize products and wrap them. • Handle boxes weighing 15-20 pounds, loading them onto machines or stacking them on pallets. • Open boxes with empty glass bottles and feed them into the production machine. • Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the day. • Follow all GMP practices. Essential Skills

• Experience in warehouse and production environments. • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds. • Ability to stand for shifts ranging from 10-12 hours. • Teamwork skills for working on a production line. • Comfortable working on a high-speed production line. Employees work around machines that emit heat and are exposed to strong food smells such as garlic and jalapeños. Shifts last 10-12 hours, requiring standing for long periods. Protective gear such as gloves, beard nets, hair nets, ear plugs, and safety glasses are provided, but candidates must supply their own steel-toed boots. Temporary workers wear royal blue shirts, provided by the company. The workplace is multilingual, with most employees speaking Spanish or Haitian Creole. Facilities include a break room with microwaves and vending machines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hurlock, MD. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
