Job Title: Tool Room AssistantJob Description:The Tool Room Assistant inspects incoming tooling and supplies, prepares tooling for use, and maintains accurate documentation to support production operations. This role ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are available in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet the needs of the operating departments.Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming tooling and supplies to verify quality, accuracy, and suitability for use in manufacturing operations. • Prepare tooling for production, including organizing, labeling, and staging tools and materials for the operating departments. • Maintain accurate paperwork and documentation related to tooling, supplies, and material movement. • Track and record tooling and material usage using data entry tools and spreadsheets. • Coordinate the timely availability of tools, equipment, and materials to support production schedules. • Support machine operators and production staff by ensuring they have the correct tools and supplies when needed. • Assist with basic machine operating or machining tasks as required to support the tool room and production. • Read and interpret blueprints or related documentation to identify required tooling and materials. • Follow established manufacturing and tool room procedures to maintain efficiency and cost effectiveness. • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe tool room and production environment. Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience. • Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking and documenting tooling and material information. • Experience with data entry in a production or manufacturing environment. • Basic understanding of tooling, tool room processes, and production workflows. • Familiarity with machine operating or machining environments. • Ability to read and work with blueprints or technical documents. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inspection and documentation. • Organizational skills to manage multiple tools, supplies, and materials efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior machine operator experience is preferred. • Experience working in a manufacturing tool room or similar support function. • Comfort using basic computer applications in addition to Microsoft Excel. • Ability to collaborate effectively with production and operating department staff. • Willingness to learn new tooling and manufacturing processes as needed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peru, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
