Job Title: Mechanical TechnicianJob DescriptionJoin our team as a Mechanical Technician, where you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment such as dozers and excavators, along with other machinery like backhoes, cranes, and loaders. Your role will also involve changing tires, performing mechanical preventive maintenance on belts and tracks, and basic electrical work. Occasionally, you may need to visit job sites within Ohio, with potential overnight stays approximately once a month. Responsibilities • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment such as dozers, excavators, backhoes, cranes, and loaders. • Change tires and perform mechanical preventive maintenance on belts and tracks. • Handle basic electrical tasks as needed. • Visit job sites within Ohio for equipment repairs, with possible overnight stays once a month. • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and battery checks. • Disassemble and reassemble engines, replace pistons, rings, and bearings. • Follow inspection checklists to detect wear or potential failures to reduce downtime and repair costs. Essential Skills • Experience in diesel mechanics, preferably 2+ years. • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulics. • Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Ownership of basic hand tools is preferred but not mandatory. • Willingness to stay overnight once a month if necessary. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Findlay, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
