Job Title: Painter Helper $21-$25/hrJob DescriptionThis role supports a high-volume paint line by safely loading and unloading parts, performing visual quality checks, and organizing materials for efficient production flow. You will work in a fast-paced, physical manufacturing environment, ensuring parts are properly arranged, securely strapped, and documented throughout the painting process while maintaining a clean and organized work area.Responsibilities
• Load parts onto the conveyor belt in accordance with established paint line requirements. • Arrange parts on carts following specific pallet patterns to ensure proper fit, balance, and stability. • Perform visual quality inspections on parts before and after painting to identify flaws or defects. • Identify flawed parts and route them for rework or strip-painting as needed. • Complete and manage all associated paperwork, including reorders, inspection records, and part tracking documentation. • Operate hoists and other material handling equipment safely and in line with plant procedures. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe paint area throughout the shift. • Memorize and follow product line assembly patterns and part placements for efficient loading and unloading. • Securely strap larger parts to prevent movement or damage during transport and storage. • Unload painted parts from the conveyor line and place them on carts in the correct sequence and orientation. • Assemble parts by product line after unloading, following memorized pallet patterns and placement techniques. • Keep pace with the conveyor belt so that production can continue without interruption. • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting, bending, and material handling practices. Essential Skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting for at least 6 months is preferred but not required. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift. • Comfort working with repetitive motions, including twisting, bending, and pulling. • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks all day in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to memorize and follow specific pallet patterns, assembly sequences, and part placements. • Attention to detail to identify paint flaws and quality issues on parts. • Basic ability to complete and manage paperwork related to reorders, inspections, and part tracking. • Ability to safely operate hoists and other material handling equipment after training. • Willingness to work in a dirty, hot, and physically intensive environment without air conditioning. • Reliability in maintaining pace with a moving conveyor line to support continuous production. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Prior experience as a laborer, paint line worker, loader, unloader, prep worker, or helper in a similar environment. • Experience with paint-related processes such as loading, unloading, and prepping parts for painting. • Familiarity with material strapping techniques to secure larger parts for transport. • Strong work ethic and ability to stay focused and productive in a fast-paced setting. • Willingness to follow safety procedures and guidelines consistently. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
