WelderJob DescriptionThis role focuses on MIG welding in a custom fabrication shop that specializes in stainless steel and aluminum. You will work on a wide variety of custom projects, operate an overhead crane and forklift, and handle different types of materials. The position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to read and interpret blueprints accurately while maintaining high-quality welds.Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials for custom fabrication projects. • Operate an overhead crane safely to move and position materials and components as needed. • Operate a forklift to transport materials and finished products throughout the facility. • Work on custom projects such as chemical storage tanks, water tanks, silos, and other specialized fabrications. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. • Accommodate various types of materials and adjust welding techniques to meet project requirements. • Lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds in a safe and controlled manner. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet production timelines. • Work both independently and as part of a cohesive team to achieve high-quality outcomes. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience. • Proven ability to maintain at least 1 year of tenure in previous positions. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Experience working with stainless steel and aluminum or similar materials. • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds safely. • Basic proficiency in operating an overhead crane or willingness to learn. • Basic proficiency in operating a forklift or willingness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Overhead crane experience. • Brake press or shear press experience. • Forklift experience. • Experience working in a custom fabrication environment. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Welders work both individually and as part of a close-knit team to complete projects. The standard schedule is a first-shift role with regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays. Overtime hours typically run from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The shop environment includes the use of MIG welding equipment, overhead cranes, forklifts, and fabrication machinery such as presses. Appropriate welding and safety attire is required to work safely around hot materials, heavy equipment, and moving machinery. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
