Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThis role supports critical environmental cleaning services on an active construction site, focusing on ongoing and final construction cleaning of interior and exterior areas. You will perform detailed cleaning of exposed surfaces, equipment, and structures while working closely alongside other trades and operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Responsibilities

• Clean all exposed interior surfaces within the construction area from the floor to the building deck above. • Perform tasks such as mopping, wiping, vacuuming, and brushing surfaces to remove dust and dirt from materials as they are being built or installed. • Use scissor lifts, boom poles, brooms, towels, and other tools to reach and clean high and hard-to-access areas. • Pressure wash exterior panels once installed, as well as generator coverings and flooring. • Work safely and attentively around active construction activities and heavy equipment, remaining alert at all times. • Clean interior surfaces and installed equipment, including beams, walls, and other structural components. • Perform work while standing, kneeling, bending, and using ladders for extended periods. • Collaborate and coordinate tasks within a small team of 4–5 workers to complete cleaning assignments efficiently. • Follow all site safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to access and check-in procedures. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment with care. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in a labor-intensive role such as construction, general labor, cleaning, janitorial work, mitigation, or restoration. • Experience working on or around construction sites and alongside other trades. • Familiarity with basic hand tools and general labor tasks. • Ability to use or learn to use scissor lifts and work safely around heavy equipment. • Capacity to stand and perform physical work for 10 or more hours per day. • Ability to work safely in hot, cold, and wet environments, including rain or shine. • Valid driver’s license. • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and BG checks. • Strong awareness of surroundings and commitment to safety while working in active construction zones. • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Construction experience, particularly experience working around multiple trades and heavy equipment. • Experience with environmental cleaning, mitigation, or restoration projects. • Familiarity with HAZWOPER practices or training is beneficial. • Comfort working at heights using ladders and aerial equipment such as scissor lifts. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and site-specific safety procedures. • Reliable transportation to and from the job site. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, and occasional Saturday work as needed. Due to the nature of construction, some days may extend beyond standard hours and include overtime. You will walk approximately 10 minutes outside from the parking lot to the guard shack each day to check in before entering the site. Work involves ongoing cleaning of interior surfaces, installed equipment, beams, and walls, as well as power washing that continues through the winter, so you must dress appropriately for varying weather conditions and temperatures. You will work around heavy equipment and installations in progress, requiring consistent attention to safety and situational awareness. The site provides microwaves but no refrigerators, so you should bring a packed lunch with an ice pack if needed. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a work-appropriate shirt supplied by you. Required PPE includes an ANSI-Z89 hard hat, ANSI-Z87 safety glasses, an ANSI-compliant safety vest with 2-inch reflective tape, and level 2–4 cut-resistant work gloves, which are supplied unless you already own them. Work is team-based, with crews of 4–5 people collaborating closely throughout the day. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
