About this role

Job Title: Industrial Painter (2nd Shift) ($24.00-26.00/hr.) Job DescriptionThis role involves preparing, painting, and finishing parts in a clean aerospace production environment. You visually inspect components, mix and apply coatings to precise standards, and operate a variety of painting tools and equipment with care and accuracy. You help ensure that all painted parts meet strict quality, safety, and documentation requirements while supporting smooth production flow. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible after interviewing. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. • Visually inspect parts to be painted to confirm they are properly cleaned and prepared before proceeding to subsequent operations. • Adjust paint pistols and spray equipment to achieve the correct flow, pattern, and finish according to prescribed standards. • Prepare required paint and coating mixtures, including transparent and clear sealants, following specified formulas and quality requirements. • Perform moderately complex painting operations that require care, precision, and attention to detail, with awareness of the monetary impact of errors. • Carry out occasional masking operations on parts to be painted, ensuring clean lines and protection of non-painted surfaces. • Perform cosmetic painting and retouching using manual and mechanical equipment such as brushes, air brushes, and painting equipment, and clean tools after use. • Build and adjust measuring instruments used in the painting process to ensure accurate application and consistent results. • Train and guide, on occasion, other employees in their duties related to painting and preparation tasks. • Read and interpret work instructions, standards, and specifications applicable to painting operations, typically without requiring technical assistance. • Meet established quality and quantity targets for painted parts and complete all necessary information and documentation to support production and traceability. • Notify the supervisor of any anomalies, defects, or safety concerns related to work, equipment, or materials. • Keep tools, equipment, and the workstation clean, organized, and in good working order. • Perform related tasks such as sanding, prepping, cleaning, and basic facility or general labor duties as needed to support production. • Carry out any other similar duties assigned by the supervisor to ensure efficient and safe operation of the paint shop. You work primarily in a paint shop setting with access to paint booths, HVLP spray equipment, paint guns, brushes, sanding tools, and other hand tools. The role typically follows a 2nd shift schedule, approximately 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with some flexibility as needed to support production demands. The facility emphasizes organized workstations, proper housekeeping, and adherence to established procedures. You can expect to be on your feet, handle parts and equipment, and occasionally perform general facility or maintenance-related tasks as part of supporting overall operations. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Strongsville, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
