About this role

Job Title: General Laborer – Concrete ProductionJob DescriptionThis role focuses on supporting large-scale concrete slab production by setting up forms and rebar, pouring and inspecting concrete, and moving finished and in-process products around the yard. You will work with a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools, perform heavy lifting, and occasionally lead small groups or specific work areas in an outdoor production environment.Responsibilities

• Set up concrete forms and rebar for large concrete slabs in accordance with production specifications. • Pour concrete into prepared forms, ensuring proper distribution and finishing as directed. • Perform visual inspections of concrete products before and after the curing process to identify defects or quality issues. • Use a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently during daily tasks. • Load and unload concrete products and materials to and from different stations around the production yard. • Lift and move heavy products weighing up to 70 lbs as needed throughout the shift. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including general cleaning tasks related to production. • Measure materials and products accurately using tape measures and other basic measuring tools. • Support production flow by assisting with general labor tasks across the yard as required. • Lead small groups or specific work areas as needed, helping coordinate tasks and maintain productivity. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of construction or concrete experience. • Hands-on experience with concrete work, including forms, rebar, and slab production. • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a construction or production environment. • Proficiency using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, and basic carpentry tools. • Proficiency using power tools and pneumatic tools safely and effectively. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for measurements. • Capability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs on a regular basis. • Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons. • Basic carpentry skills related to form building and setup. • Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of products before and after curing. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a production or manufacturing environment handling concrete products. • construction labor, including site preparation and cleanup. • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas. • Willingness to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays, when needed. • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality for early morning start times. • Capability to take initiative and step into informal leadership roles for small groups or work areas. • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a physically demanding role. All work takes place outdoors in the production yard, rain or shine, throughout all seasons of the year. Team members must be prepared to dress appropriately for varying weather conditions and work comfortably in an open-air, physically demanding environment that relies on hand, power, and pneumatic tools to support concrete production Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billings, MT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
