About this role

Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate supports food manufacturing operations by preparing ingredients, assembling and packaging products, handling materials, and maintaining quality and food safety standards. This role operates in a fast-paced production environment and follows strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety guidelines while working with meat and other food products. Responsibilities • Mix, prepare, cut, and portion ingredients according to production requirements. • Assemble, wrap, cook, and package food products to meet quality and safety standards. • Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility safely and efficiently. • Load and unload shipments while following proper handling procedures. • Supply production lines with materials and ingredients as needed to support continuous operations. • Store raw materials and finished products in accordance with food safety and GMP standards. • Complete production documentation, logs, and checklists accurately and on time. • Dispose of waste and recyclables in designated containers and maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area. • Follow GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and all food safety and quality requirements at all times. • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety procedures. • Lift and transport materials, product trays, and other items as needed to support production. • Stand for the duration of the shift while performing repetitive production and packaging tasks. • Work comfortably around chicken, beef, pork, and other food products in a manufacturing setting. Essential Skills • Experience in production, general production, or food manufacturing environments. • Ability to follow GMP guidelines, including wearing a smock, hair net, and adhering to no jewelry or makeup rules. • Experience working closely with food products in a manufacturing or production setting. • Ability to lift 25 lbs continuously, 40 lbs frequently, and exert up to 50 lbs occasionally. • Ability to stand for long periods during an entire shift. • Ability to read and interpret safety and procedure documents in English. • Comfort working in a wet-floor environment with various food-related smells. • Ability to safely perform general labor, janitorial, and sanitizing duties related to food safety. • Willingness to wear required GMP PPE, including water-resistant shoes if needed. • Comfort working around chicken, beef, and pork in a food manufacturing facility. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Spanish language skills are a plus for reading or understanding safety and procedure documents. • Prior experience in packing, packaging, or material handling in a production environment. • Experience completing production documentation and checklists accurately. • Familiarity with HACCP and SSOP standards in food manufacturing. • Experience performing janitorial duties in a food production or industrial setting. • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. • Comfort working on a 1st shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You work on a first-shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, in a fast-paced production environment. The facility includes wet floors and various food-related smells, and you regularly work around chicken, beef, and pork. You must wear full GMP-compliant PPE at all times, which may include a smock, hair net, and water-resistant shoes, and you must follow a no jewelry and no makeup policy. The work requires standing for the full shift, lifting and moving materials, and performing tasks that support both production and sanitation to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
