Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk / Logistics CoordinatorJob DescriptionThis role oversees the safe, efficient, and timely flow of materials and finished goods through a manufacturing facility that produces multiple audio-visual product lines, including projectors, screens, and window shades. You coordinate the end-to-end order and distribution process, ensure production lines receive the right materials on time, and support accurate, on-schedule order fulfillment. In addition to planning and coordination, you actively support daily warehouse operations, working closely with warehouse, packaging, and procurement teams to improve material flow, reduce costs, and maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service. Responsibilities • Monitor and control the order process to ensure an efficient and adequate flow of goods from receipt through fulfillment. • Coordinate activities across warehouse, packaging, and procurement teams to drive efficient material movement, reduce costs, and minimize inventory investment. • Support production scheduling by reviewing and participating in the planning of production operations to ensure customer requirements are met on time. • Safely and efficiently unload (devan) inbound shipping containers, inspect incoming goods, and stage materials for receipt and put-away. • Assist warehouse associates with weighing and measuring orders to ensure accurate documentation, shipping, and order fulfillment. • Perform additional hands-on warehouse functions as needed to maintain workflow and support production and shipping demands. • Develop, implement, and maintain logistics and warehouse processes that reduce operational costs and improve customer service outcomes. • Review and analyze existing department procedures, policies, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. • Continuously drive improvements in order accuracy and reduce fulfillment lead times across all product lines. • Coordinate with carriers and brokers via email and phone to ensure timely, accurate communication and the smooth movement of goods. • Work closely with procurement and packaging teams to provide required product quantities and ensure correct orders and materials are available for daily production. • Manage scheduling of packaging and processing materials to support production demands and meet customer commitments. • Maintain accurate documentation and records of logistics activity, shipping, and order fulfillment for reporting to management. • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall logistics, warehousing, and production operations. Essential Skills • Minimum of two years of related logistics, supply chain, or operations experience, including direct experience working with carriers and brokers. • Hands-on experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience with inventory, shipping and receiving, logistics, and inventory control in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. • Proficiency with ERP systems for order management, inventory visibility, and logistics coordination, with NetSuite ERP experience considered a plus. • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on warehouse tasks, including devanning containers and assisting with weighing and measuring orders. • Strong commitment to excellence and high standards in work quality and output. • Excellent written and oral communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams, carriers, and brokers. • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities and improve processes. • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple departments and functions simultaneously. • Versatility and flexibility, with the ability to work within constantly changing priorities while maintaining a positive, solutions-focused attitude. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry for documentation, reporting, and communication. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with NetSuite ERP for order management, inventory visibility, and logistics coordination (training provided if needed). • Familiarity with RF scanners (radio-frequency handheld scanners) for receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in warehouse operations. • Experience with warehouse management and inventory software for tracking material movement and stock levels. • Comfort using standard documentation and reporting tools to support scheduling, order records, and management reporting. • Background in customer service related to logistics, shipping, or order fulfillment. • Ability to adapt to a small, collaborative warehouse environment and support multiple AV product lines, including projectors, screens, and window shades. The site employs approximately 80 people, creating a collaborative and approachable environment where operations, warehouse, packaging, and procurement teams work closely together. The role involves hands-on work in a compact warehouse space, using tools such as RF scanners, ERP systems, and warehouse management software to manage inventory, support production, and ensure timely shipping and receiving. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
