About this role

Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on electro-mechanical assembly, including cable harnesses, box builds, electrical and valve assemblies, and point-to-point wiring. You will interpret and work from schematics and drawings, perform precise soldering and crimping, and use a variety of hand tools to build and inspect high-quality assemblies in a clean room environment.Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings to perform accurate mechanical and electrical assembly work. • Assemble electro-mechanical components, including cable harnesses, box builds, valve assemblies, and basic wiring. • Perform point-to-point wiring and electrical assembly in accordance with specifications and quality standards. • Carry out cable harness assembly, including routing, bundling, and securing cables and wires. • Complete pneumatic assembly tasks as required, following detailed instructions and schematics. • Use hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, torque tools, and crimping tools for small pins to build and adjust assemblies. • Perform precise soldering on electrical connections and components to ensure reliable performance. • Inspect assemblies and wiring for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making corrections as needed. • Multitask across different assembly activities while maintaining high attention to detail and quality. • Follow clean room procedures and departmental guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work area. • Collaborate with other assemblers and team members to meet production goals and timelines. • Train and adapt to different shifts as needed, including initial training on day shift for swing shift roles. Essential Skills

• Ability to read and understand schematics and engineering drawings. • Minimum of 6+ months of assembly experience. • Hands-on experience with cable harness assembly. • Experience performing box builds and mechanical assembly. • Proficiency in electrical assembly and basic wiring. • Ability to perform point-to-point wiring accurately. • Experience with valve assembly and pneumatic assembly tasks. • Strong soldering skills for electrical connections. • Ability to crimp small pins using appropriate tools. • Competent use of hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, torque tools, and crimping tools. • High level of attention to detail in all assembly and inspection work. • Ability to multitask and manage multiple assembly activities efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as an electro-mechanical assembler. • Experience in inspection of electrical and mechanical assemblies. • Comfort working with hand tools in a production or manufacturing environment. • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with both electrical and mechanical components. • Ability to work effectively in a team setting with other assemblers. • Willingness to work either day shift or swing shift as required by the department. The team operates on two shifts: a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a swing shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with swing shift employees training on the day shift for the first few weeks. The work involves regular use of hand tools and precision equipment in a structured, production-oriented setting, with clear procedures and standards to ensure safety, cleanliness, and high-quality output. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
