About this role

Job Title: Commercial HVAC InstallerJob DescriptionThis temporary role offers the opportunity to work as a Commercial HVAC Installer on an active commercial construction project located between Waynesboro, PA and Hanover, PA. The assignment is expected to last approximately 4–6 weeks, with the potential for additional project opportunities based on performance and business needs. In this position, you install HVAC equipment, ductwork, and related mechanical systems while ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to project specifications and blueprints. Responsibilities • Install commercial HVAC equipment, including units, ductwork, and related mechanical systems in accordance with project specifications and blueprints. • Measure, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal ductwork to support HVAC system layouts. • Install and route refrigeration lines and HVAC system components, ensuring proper connections and secure fittings. • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete installation tasks on an active construction site. • Interpret and follow construction blueprints and mechanical drawings to accurately position and install HVAC systems. • Assist with boiler-related connections and components as required by project scope. • Perform basic troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration systems during installation to identify and resolve issues. • Adhere to all safety standards and OSHA guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized work area. • Collaborate with other trades and team members on the construction site to coordinate work and meet project timelines. • Inspect completed installations to verify quality, proper operation, and compliance with project and code requirements. Essential Skills • 1–3 years of experience in HVAC installation in commercial or construction environments. • Hands-on experience installing ductwork, including sheet metal fabrication and installation. • Experience installing refrigeration lines and HVAC system components. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. • Proficiency using power tools and hand tools commonly used in construction and HVAC installation. • Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting techniques. • Understanding of boiler-related systems and connections. • OSHA 10 certification. • Reliable transportation to travel to job sites between Waynesboro, PA and Hanover, PA. • Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to project timelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience working on active commercial construction sites. • Familiarity with refrigeration systems and commercial HVAC layouts. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Good communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and other trades. • Willingness to take on additional project opportunities based on performance and business needs. Work EnvironmentYou work on commercial construction sites in the Waynesboro, PA and Hanover, PA areas. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., providing stable daytime hours. The environment involves active construction settings where you use a range of power tools and hand tools and interact with multiple trades. You can expect typical commercial site conditions, including working both indoors and outdoors, navigating partially finished structures, and following strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Gettysburg, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
