About this role

Job Title: CNC ProgrammerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on programming, setting up, and optimizing Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce precision-machined components that meet stringent quality and industry standards. You will develop and refine CNC programs, support both short and long production runs, and contribute to the implementation of a new CAD/CAM package in a growing, technology-forward manufacturing environment.Responsibilities

• Create and refine micro and conversational programs for Swiss-style CNC lathes, including BO205, S205, and SS20/Smart 320 machines, to produce precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. • Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code to improve cycle times, efficiency, and part quality. • Support the introduction and integration of a new CAM package into the shop, collaborating with the team to build out CAD/CAM programs for a new facility. • Handle programming and setup for both short-run and long-run production jobs based on customer requirements. • Perform complete machine setups, including guide bushings, bar feeders, and live tooling, to ensure stable and repeatable production. • Monitor machine performance during production, conduct in-process quality checks, and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and maximize machine uptime. • Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, offsets, and program logic, and implement corrective actions to maintain consistent output. • Support production for Aerospace, Defense, and Medical industry customers by adhering to their specific quality and documentation standards. Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes or Swiss machines . • Proficiency in CNC programming, including editing, troubleshooting, and optimizing programs to improve cycle times and efficiency. • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Esprit, PartMaker, GibbsCAM, or similar platforms. • Ability to perform complete machine setups, including guide bushings, bar feeders, and live tooling. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in CNC machining and programming. • Comfort working with new technologies and participating in the rollout of a new CAD/CAM package and facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $94000.00/yr.
