Job Title: Warehouse AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Assembler efficiently unloads and loads Amazon packages from freight trucks into cargo containers for air transportation. This role focuses on carefully assembling packages inside cargo containers to maximize space utilization, ensure accurate inventory tracking, and maintain high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced airport warehouse environment.Responsibilities

• Unload Amazon packages from incoming freight trucks and transfer them onto cargo containers for airline transportation. • Break down and remove packages from pre-loaded carts and organize them for efficient loading into cargo containers. • Assemble packages inside cargo containers in a precise, “Tetris-style” configuration to maximize space and package occupancy. • Consolidate small boxes and mail into larger bags and load them securely onto cargo containers. • Maintain accurate inventory records by using scanners and tracking systems to log packages and movements. • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling freight, equipment, and containers. • Conduct basic quality control checks to ensure packages are properly loaded, secured, and prepared for transport. • Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate loading activities and maintain smooth workflow. • Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors to report issues, progress, and operational needs. • Adhere to strict attendance expectations to support time-sensitive flight and cargo schedules. Essential Skills

• Experience with loading and unloading trucks or freight in a warehouse, ramp, or general labor environment. • Ability to perform general labor tasks, including repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Hands-on experience with assembling, palletizing, or organizing items in confined or structured spaces. • Familiarity with inventory processes, including tracking, counting, and organizing packages or materials. • Ability to use handheld scanners and basic tracking systems to log and monitor packages. • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly during the shift. • Reliable transportation to and from Stockton Airport, where public transportation is not available. • Consistently strong attendance and punctuality, with the ability to follow a strict attendance policy. • Ownership and use of steel-toed boots that cover the ankle while on duty. Work EnvironmentThis role is based on-site in a warehouse environment at Stockton Airport, working directly with cargo containers, carts, and scanning equipment. The work involves physical activity, including lifting and moving packages, and requires steel-toed boots that cover the ankle as part of the dress code. Operations run across three shifts, with weekend work and two consecutive days off during the week. Typical staffing includes 6 agents on the 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. shift, and 6 agents on the 1:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. shift. Schedules are tentative and may change roughly every three months based on flight timetables, with updated schedules communicated in advance. The environment is fast-paced, time-sensitive, and team-oriented, supporting air cargo operations in a structured warehouse setting Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Stockton, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
