Job Title: HVAC Filter TechnicianJob DescriptionThe HVAC Filter Technician installs HVAC filters on commercial and industrial units while delivering professional, quality customer service. This role includes performing visual inspections of equipment, documenting filter change dates, and completing all required paperwork. The position requires working primarily in outdoor environments and at heights, using ladders and hand tools, and maintaining accountability for all assigned tools. Responsibilities • Install HVAC filters on a variety of commercial and industrial HVAC units in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines. • Perform thorough visual inspections of HVAC equipment during each service visit to identify any issues or irregularities. • Accurately document filter change dates and complete all required paperwork and service records in a timely manner. • Provide professional, courteous customer service while on-site, addressing basic questions and ensuring customer satisfaction. • Maintain accountability for all tools, equipment, and materials used during service calls, ensuring proper use, storage, and care. • Work safely on ladders and at heights, following all safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment. • Use hand tools and basic troubleshooting skills to complete installations and general labor tasks related to HVAC filter service. • Travel to assigned commercial and industrial facilities for scheduled service calls, following routing and job instructions. • Adhere to all work schedules, including 2nd shift hours and occasional Saturday work, and be available for overtime as needed. • Follow company policies and procedures, including documentation, reporting, and safety protocols during all service activities. Essential Skills • Experience performing service calls or field service work in outdoor environments. • Ability to work safely at heights and climb ladders regularly as part of daily duties. • Capability to lift 25+ pounds as needed to handle filters, tools, and equipment. • Valid driver’s license required to travel to various commercial and industrial sites. • Basic HVAC knowledge, including familiarity with filters and unit components. • Troubleshooting skills to identify visible issues during inspections and service. • Proficiency using hand tools for installation and general labor tasks. • Comfort working in outdoor conditions and in commercial/industrial facilities on a consistent basis. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience working in HVAC, general labor, or maintenance roles is beneficial. • Experience working on ladders and at heights in a safe and controlled manner. • Ability to complete documentation and paperwork accurately and neatly. • Strong attention to detail when performing visual inspections and recording service information. • Reliability in following scheduled shifts, including 2nd shift hours and occasional Saturdays. • Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and pursue advancement to senior technician roles. • Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members professionally. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in commercial and industrial facilities and involves regular outdoor work and tasks at heights. The position follows a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with some Saturdays as needed and frequent overtime. Work is hands-on and physically active, requiring the use of ladders, hand tools, and other field equipment in varying weather conditions. The environment is service-oriented and field-based, with technicians traveling to different sites to complete scheduled filter installations and inspections. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
