Job Title: ClerkJob DescriptionThe Clerk provides front-line support in a busy service center environment by welcoming customers, discussing service needs and equipment repairs, preparing repair quotes, and accurately entering orders into the company database. This role supports day-to-day operations through data entry, inventory assistance, parts sorting for shipment, and professional phone handling, while regularly using Microsoft programs to ensure smooth and efficient service.Responsibilities
• Welcome customers to the service center and create a friendly, professional first impression. • Meet with customers to understand service needs and repairs required for equipment. • Prepare and present accurate repair quotes to customers in a clear and timely manner. • Enter customer orders, service requests, and related information into the company database with a high level of accuracy. • Use Microsoft programs to manage data entry, documentation, and basic reporting tasks. • Sort and organize parts for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and routing. • Assist with inventory control by helping track, count, and organize parts and materials. • Transfer incoming phone calls to the appropriate managers or departments in a courteous and efficient manner. • Review basic blueprints or equipment information as needed to support service and maintenance activities. • Support machinery maintenance processes by coordinating parts and documentation as directed. • Maintain a production-focused mindset to meet daily workflow and service center expectations. • Follow all workplace procedures and safety guidelines, including proper use of required footwear and attire. Essential Skills
• At least 6 months of experience in a customer-focused service role. • Proficiency in using Microsoft programs for data entry and basic office tasks. • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. • Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail in order processing and record keeping. • Ability to assist with inventory control, including organizing, tracking, and sorting parts. • Capability to work effectively in a production-based environment with consistent daily activity. • Basic understanding of service and machinery maintenance concepts. • Ability to interpret or reference blueprints at a basic level to support service needs. • Reliable phone etiquette and professionalism when transferring calls to managers. The standard schedule runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with any overtime occurring after the shift and remaining optional. Work involves frequent use of Microsoft programs and the company database, as well as handling parts for shipment and assisting with inventory in an operational setting. The dress code is casual and practical, with jeans and a T-shirt appropriate for daily work, and steel-toe footwear required to support safety standards in the facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gillette, WY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
