Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility. You will play a key part in production by executing advanced assembly tasks, ensuring high quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. In addition to hands-on work, you will help guide and mentor junior assemblers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues. Responsibilities • Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies according to prints, schematics, and standard operating procedures. • Work on and along an assembly line, contributing to general production activities and meeting daily output targets. • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete assembly operations. • Coach and train lower-level assemblers, providing guidance on techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards. • Ensure the team adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance standards throughout the assembly process. • Perform final quality inspections and testing to confirm that assembled products meet company standards and specifications. • Maintain accurate inventory of parts and materials required for assembly, ensuring stock levels remain optimal for production needs. • Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and actively suggest continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiency and reduce waste. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues in a timely manner. • Apply strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and correct assembly or production issues. • Work under production deadlines, including mandatory overtime when needed, while maintaining quality and safety. • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with team members across the production floor. Essential Skills • At least 2–5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles. • Hands-on experience working on an assembly line and in general production environments. • Proficiency with mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies. • Skilled in the safe and effective use of power tools and hand tools. • Expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. • Strong knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices. • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production setting. • Ability to train and mentor junior team members and contribute to team development. • Ability to follow prints, schematics, and build standard operating procedures accurately. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility featuring industry 4.0 technology in Mesa, Arizona. The standard schedule is first shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime on Fridays when needed to meet production deadlines; candidates should be comfortable with occasional overtime requirements. The role is physically active and may require standing and walking for extended periods, as well as stooping, kneeling, or crouching as tasks demand. Employees must be able to lift and move up to 35 pounds and demonstrate good manual dexterity, including coordination of hands, arms, and multiple limbs to operate tools and handle components safely. Work involves regular use of power tools and hand tools on an assembly line in a production environment, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and adherence to established procedures. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
