Job Title: Maintenance Technician Shift: 2nd (2:00pm-10:00pm) and 3rd (10:00pm-6:00am) Pay: $38 Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is crucial in maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.Responsibilities
• Perform installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and emergency breakdown response on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic, and automated production systems. • Dismantle machinery and equipment to identify failures, inspect components for wear or damage, and perform repairs or replacements as needed. • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, transformers, motors, sensors, programmable controllers, robotics, conveyors, and related equipment. • Install, modify, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems, components, and controls. • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical drawings to support maintenance and improvement activities. • Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Engineering, Tool Room, and other departments to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. • Assign, monitor, and follow up on preventative maintenance tasks and corrective work orders to ensure timely completion. • Troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, automation systems, and computer-controlled equipment; support programming modifications and equipment improvements. • Lead root cause investigations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, and operational performance. • Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to maintenance associates while assisting with skills development and workforce training initiatives. • Assist with maintenance scheduling, workload balancing, shift coverage, and prioritization of maintenance activities. • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, repair records, and preventative maintenance records. • Promote and enforce compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. • Support equipment installations, engineering changes, facility improvements, and capital projects as required. • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous manufacturing operations. Essential Skills
• Electrical troubleshooting • PLC troubleshooting (experience with Siemens is beneficial) • Experience in a stamping environment • Press maintenance experience (Progressive, Transfer Presses) • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Additional Skills & Qualifications

Our facility in Avon, OH, operates with seven presses ranging from 300-2500 tons, including both progressive and transfer presses. We also have over 20 welders, including pedestal welders and dedicated weld cells. The work environment is collaborative and unionized under UAW Local 2000. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Avon, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
